NEW! 2020 PCABP Plan Brochure:

Dear Policyholder:

Enclosed is your 2020 plan brochure for the Panama Canal Area Benefit Plan (PCABP). This plan brochure describes the benefits of the PCABP Program beginning on January 1, 2020.

Please read your entire plan brochure very carefully and hopefully most of the questions you have about your coverage will be answered.
Below are the highlights of the 2020 benefit changes:

Changes to this Plan
•    Your share of the premium will increase for Self Only, Self Plus One, and Self and Family. Please refer to the back cover of this brochure.
•    We have updated Section 5(a) Preventive Care, adult to show coverage for cervical cancer screenings, intimate partner violence screening (women of childbearing age), obesity screening and counseling of adults, osteoporosis screening of women, perinatal depression counseling and interventions, and alcohol misuse screening and counseling recommended by the U.S. Preventive Service Task Force (USPSTF).  There is no cost sharing for POS members and for enrollees who reside in the United States under FFS US option. See pages 27 through 30.
•    We have updated Section 5(a) Preventive Care, children to show that the Plan covers ALL recommended well-child visits, examinations, and immunizations recommended by the Bright Futures Guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
•    There is no cost sharing for POS members and for enrollees who reside in the United States under FFS US option. See pages 30 through 32.
•    We have updated Section 5(a) Preventive Care, children to cover vision screening for children as recommended by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF). There is no cost sharing for POS members and for enrollees who reside in the United States under FFS US option. See page 30.

Clarifications
•    The AXA Assistance office in Panama has relocated to Torre BICSA Financial Center, 48th Floor, Avenida Balboa y Aquilino de la Guardia. Panama City, Republic of Panama. We have also added customer service offices at Clínica Hospital San Fernando and Centro Médico Paitilla, in addition to Centro Médico Caribe in Colon. Our phone numbers remain the same.Tel 366-1400. See page 3.
•    We have clarified under Section 5(d) Emergency Services/Accidents, what is considered a medical emergency paid under the emergency benefits and what are non-emergency services that should be treated by a Primary Care Physician or at an Urgent Care Facility. See page 52.
