The PCABP is a Medical Benefit Plan for retired workers of the Panama Canal Administration of the US Government. Accordingly, the Federal Government of the United States contributes approximately 52% of the member’s premium.
Because the Plan’s budget is partially paid by the US Government, Providers are subject to Federal law regarding fraudulent, wasteful and abusive medical care and billing.
AJAC, the PCABP and The US Government Office of Personnel Management (OPM) reserve the right to audit any provider for care rendered to any member of the PCABP and resulting billing.
Providers found guilty of breaching US Federal Government Law regarding Faud, Waste and Abuse may be subjected to a personal fine of up to $250,000, five year in jail and restitution of ill-gotten gains. Providers found guilty may also be precluded from receiving a visa to the USA.
Providers may submit requests for credentialing and contracting by writing to the network department with copy to the medical director of the plan:
Network providers who were contracted via Axa may forward their 2025 contract to Redbridge for renewal consideration.
When contracting with the PCABP providers are subject to United States.
The Panama Canal Area Benefit Plan (PCABP), administered by the Redbridge Group, LLC., is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
Accreditation is a commitment to reach, maintain and uphold high standards of healthcare quality, as well as member safety and rights.
The PCABP is scheduled to undergo re-accreditation by the AAAHC in March 2026.
The next accreditation audit for AJAC could be scheduled for April 2026, with the administration of Redbridge Group, LLC.
